Hardened Oil Washes Up at New Carissa Site

COOS BAY, Ore. -- Tar balls have been reported in the surf at the salvage site for the New Carissa near Coos Bay. Titan Salvage reported oil residue in the surf and at the beach on Friday that had formed tar balls with sand. About 150 yards of the beach has been affected so far.
